The figures revealed from the country’s capital Delhi are shocking everyone. In the beginning of 2026, more than 800 people went missing from Delhi in just 15 days. According to the data of Delhi Police itself, a total of 807 people went missing between 1 and 15 January 2026, out of which the number of women and girls is the highest. This is the reason why this matter is now gaining momentum on social media and users on social media are getting angry at the government and police.

According to police records, among these 807 missing people, 509 are women and girls, that is, about two-thirds of the cases are related to women. The situation is so serious that on an average 54 people are going missing from the capital every day and almost two people every hour. Till now only 235 people have been traced, while there are 572 people of whom no trace has been found. Apart from this, the number of minors in these figures is also frightening. According to Delhi Police, 191 minors are included among the 807 missing people. Of these, 146 are girls and 45 are boys. The surprising thing is that in about 71 percent of the cases no concrete information has been received so far. At the same time, 13 children aged between 8 to 12 years and 9 children below 8 years of age have also gone missing in these 15 days.
Why are people disappearing from the capital Delhi?
According to police and social workers, there are many reasons behind people disappearing from Delhi. Economic pressure, unemployment, family disputes, domestic violence, mental stress and human trafficking are said to be the main reasons behind this. According to the NCRB report, 20 to 25 percent of the missing women are victims of human trafficking. Apart from this, migrant population and international trafficking network are also making Delhi a big center of this problem.

Apart from this, a user sarcastically commented that all this is happening every month in the country’s capital and the government is not taking any steps regarding it. One user said that all this is happening despite a woman being the CM, when will madam ji’s blood flow? Apart from this, many users also raised questions on the functioning of Delhi Police. One user wrote in the comment that Delhi Police is the most corrupt and incompetent type of police in the whole world. Someone wrote in the comment that Delhi Police is busy right now, the week goes by brother.
