Big news has come for lakhs of youth who are dreaming of job in Bihar Police. Bihar Police Subordinate Services Commission (BPSSC) has released the result of the preliminary examination of Police Sub-Inspector (SI) recruitment. Candidates who have been waiting for this result for a long time can now check their result by visiting the official website.
With the release of the results, both excitement and excitement among the candidates have increased. After several months of preparation and waiting, it is now clear which candidates have been able to reach the next stage of the recruitment process.
Result available on official website
The Commission has asked the candidates to check the result by visiting bpssc.bihar.gov.in website. The result has been released in the form of a PDF file. Candidates are advised to download this PDF and search their roll number in it. If their roll number is present in the list then it means that they have been selected for the next stage.
Recruitment was done for so many seats
This process was started for recruitment to a total of 1799 posts of Sub-Inspector in Bihar Police. The Commission had released the notification related to this recruitment on 23 September 2025. After this, a large number of youth applied and started preparing for the exam. Candidates from different districts of the state appeared in this examination in the hope of getting a chance to become officers in the police department.
The exam was held in two days
The preliminary examination was conducted in two shifts on January 18 and January 21. A total of 10,36,702 candidates had registered for this examination. However, so many candidates could not appear on the day of examination. According to the Commission, about 7,26,231 candidates appeared in the examination. Some candidates were also disqualified for not following the rules during the examination.
Copies of so many candidates were checked
The Commission said that the answer sheets of a total of 6,96,959 candidates were evaluated.
After this, category wise merit was prepared as per the recruitment rules. The Commission has decided that the number of candidates who will be selected for the main examination will be approximately 20 times more than the total vacant posts. Under this process, the candidates who are successful in the preliminary examination will get a chance to appear in the next stage i.e. the main written examination.

When will the main exam be held?
According to the Commission, the main written examination can be conducted in the second week of April 2026. However, its exact date will be announced later. Candidates who are successful in the main examination will be called for further selection process. This may include physical examination, document verification and other necessary steps.
