A case of theft of Rs 5.40 lakh has come to light in the Mumbai residence of BJP MP from North-Eastern Lok Sabha seat of Delhi and famous singer Manoj Tiwari. This incident took place in Sunderban Apartment located in Shastri Nagar area of ​​Andheri West, where his former employee carried out the theft.

In this matter, Manoj Tiwari’s manager Pramod Jogender Pandey has lodged a complaint at Amboli Police Station. The police registered the case and took immediate action and arrested the accused. The accused has been identified as Surendrakumar Dinanath Sharma, who was removed from the job about two years ago.

According to the information received from Amboli Police, complainant Pramod Pandey has been working as the manager of Manoj Tiwari for the last 20 years. He told the police that cash worth Rs 5.40 lakh kept in the bedroom of the house was stolen. Out of this, Rs 4.40 lakh kept in the cupboard had already gone missing in June 2025, but at that time the person who committed the theft could not be found.

The accused had keys to open the house, bedroom and cupboards.

CCTV cameras were installed inside the house in December 2025 to uncover incidents of theft. In this sequence, through CCTV alert at around 9 pm on 15 January 2026, former employee Surendra Kumar Sharma was seen committing theft. The CCTV footage revealed that the accused had fake keys to open the house, bedroom and cupboards, with the help of which he could easily enter the house.

According to the police, the accused had stolen about one lakh rupees the same night. The accused was interrogated on the basis of CCTV footage, in which he confessed to his crime. After this Amboli police arrested him. Police have seized the CCTV footage related to the case and have registered a case against the accused under relevant sections and started further investigation.
