‘…then there will be chaos’, Iran’s reaction to Donald Trump’s threat; Khamenei bluntly on violent protests

Protests have been going on in Iran for the last few days against the country’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei. People have come out on the streets and are expressing anger towards the government. US President Donald Trump had threatened the Khamenei government on this issue. Now a befitting reply has come from the Khamenei government. Khamenei’s close advisor has said that America should care about its soldiers to the exclusion of others.

Protests against inflation and economic problems in Iran turned violent, in which 6 people died. The movement has now spread across the country. Trump warned and said, ,If Iran kills the protesting people, then America is fully ready to help them and attack.,

What was Iran’s response to Trump’s threat?

Iran’s Supreme National Security Council Secretary Ali Larijani responded to this, He said, ‘America should know that interfering in our internal affairs is like spreading chaos in the entire region, Trump has started this. They should worry about their soldiers. The important thing is that till now 2 people have died in Lordegan and 3 in Ajna. A security personnel also died in Kuhdasht in the night. Dozens of people were arrested in many cities.

Why are protests happening in Iran?

Let us tell you that this is the first time after the anti-hijab protests in 2022 that a large number of people have taken to the streets in Iran. This demonstration is being done regarding inflation as well as worsening economic situation.

The Iranian government is showing a very strict attitude towards the protests. Many protesters have been arrested in the last few days. However, its complete figures have not been revealed yet.
