In Moradabad, former Samajwadi Party MP Dr. ST Hasan targeted those who defame the Kandar Yatra and said that this is a sacred religious event, in which millions of people walk with reverence to walk hundreds of kilometers and go to the temple to offer Ganga water. He said that everyone should respect the people involved in the Kanwar Yatra. Dr. Hasan was responding to the statement of CM Yogi in which he had intentionally spoken of maligning the Kandar Yatra.
Dr. ST Hasan said that in Indian society, Hindus and Muslims respect each other’s religious events. Giving examples, he said that the Hindu Bhai respects Namaz, while the Muslims put tents to serve the Kanwari during the journey of Kanwar and help him. However, he expressed concern that some people are trying to spoil this harmony. Said that a few people want to ruin this holy event. If 100-200 people do wrong actions among crores of people, then the whole society cannot be held responsible for this.
An atmosphere of fear among Muslims
The SP leader said that some elements have created such an atmosphere that Muslims are now hesitating to serve the Kanwari. I do not know what to say, what to do, if you will eat the pudding of the hand of the Muslim or not, such an atmosphere is being created. This is a conspiracy so that there is a gap between the Hindu-Muslims and the country is weak.
Disagreement over Maulana Sadiq’s statement
Dr. Hasan disagreed over Maulana Sadiq’s statement of calling saffron clothes ‘saffron terrorists’. He said that there is no terrorist who created a ruckus. Terrorism means scaring people. Some people try to discredit it by joining the Kavad Yatra under the conspiracy. Dr. Hasan also said that not all Kanwari can be considered the same. Many passengers are active in giving way to others and helping.
Conspiracy to discredit Kavad Yatra
Dr. ST Hasan criticized those who are doing wrong acts in the name of Kandar Yatra. He said that some people put up posters and say that do not take goods from Muslim shops, start checking on dhabas or are taking people’s paint. This is the work of administration, not some groups. Such people are defaming the Kavad Yatra.
Appeal for respect and harmony
Dr. Hasan appealed to everyone to respect religious events and ensure that the general public does not have any problem. He said that the statement of Maulana Sajid Rashidi is unlikely to spoil the atmosphere, but those who do wrong acts should be stopped.
