Rajinikanth’s most awaited film ‘Coolie’ is going to knock in theaters very soon. The film is being made with a very big budget, for which from the actor to the director has collected a hefty amount. Recently, Lokesh Kanakraj, director of ‘Coolie’, has also spoke on the fees of himself and Rajinikanth while comparing the film’s budget.
Lokesh Kanakraj has charged Rs 50 crore for Rajinikanth’s ‘Coolie’. Now the director has given clarification on its expensive fees. Talking to The Hollywood reporter, Lokesh Kanakraj said- ‘You are as good as your previous film is good. If someone asks about my 50 crore salary, then that is due to the success of the previous film Leo.
‘I should get 50 crores rupees’
Lokesh Kanakraj further said- ‘I do not want to talk about Rajinikanth sir’s fees and salary, but I think I should get 50 crore rupees. I am also going to pay tax on this. I have fully spent two years of my life for the film Kuli. This is a film of 400 crores and its entire responsibility is on me.
‘All the money from my family and friends …’
‘Coolie’ director says- ‘I am very excited for this film. If the film does well and we earn well, then all that money will be useful for my family and friends from whom I was away while working on ‘Coolie’.
‘Coolie’ will hit ‘War 2’
- Rajinikanth starrer film ‘Coolie’ is an action-thriller which will be released in theaters on 14 August 2025.
- The film will face Hrithik Roshan and Junior NTR’s film ‘War 2’ at the box office.
- Rajinikanth will also be seen in ‘Kuli’ along with Nagarjuna, Upendra, Saubin Shahir, Satyaraj, Shruti Haasan and Reba Monica John,
- Apart from this, actors like Junior MGR, Monisha Blassi and Kali Venkat will also be part of the film.
