The annual festival of Patanjali Gurukulam, operated under the Indian Education Board, has been completed in Patanjali University. Swami Ramdev, President of Patanjali Yogpeeth, among the top saints in the program, said that in the Guru-disciple tradition of our ancient Gurukuls, along with knowledge, morality, purity of character, softness in speech and conduct were taught.
Baba Ramdev said, “Students, educated from ancient Gurukuls, used to lead the world. Patanjali Gurukulam is also preparing students for world leadership by following the ancient sage tradition. He said, “Children from almost all the provinces of the country, from three to five years old children till class 12th, are studying in Patanjali Gurukulam. Maharishi Dayanand, Lord Vaswanna, Saint Manibadeshwar, Saint Dnyaneshwar, Saint Ravidas, Saint Kabirdas etc. all the ancient sages and sages gave the message of unity, coexistence and harmony by breaking all the walls of evils, restrictions and discrimination prevailing in the society.
There is no difference in Vedas – Swami Ramdev
Baba Ramdev further said, “Only one Brahma, only one God resides everywhere in the entire universe. These elements and divine messages and eternal truths of Sanatan were communicated to the society with complete authenticity for the entire humanity. Told us that there is no difference in the Vedas. The teachers of Patanjali Gurukulam are playing an important role in building the character of the students, due to which their life is flourishing.
In the program, Juna Peethadhishwar Acharya Mahamandaleshwar Swami Avadheshanand Giri Ji Maharaj said, “Patanjali Gurukulam is a wonderful laboratory for the preservation and promotion of India’s timeless, immortal culture, ancient tradition and Vedic sensibilities. An advanced form of human consciousness is awakening among the students of Patanjali Gurukulam. This lamp of Patanjali Gurukulam has been lit by Swami Ramdev Ji which will illuminate the whole world.
Children are also becoming cultured – Acharya Balkrishna
At the same time, Acharya Balakrishna said, “Indian culture, Sanatan traditions and beliefs have been strengthened by Patanjali Gurukulam.” In Patanjali, children are not only acquiring knowledge but are also getting cultured. Their parents must be feeling proud today for the values for which they have sent their children to Patanjali. His dreams are being realized by his children through Patanjali.
In the program, Swami Chidanand Muni, President of Parmarth Niketan Rishikesh, said, “What I experienced after seeing the children of Patanjali Gurukulam, there is a need to reveal these eternal truths in the future generations. It is the misfortune of the country that what should have been published was hidden and what was not there was shown. Sanatan is at the root of the real history of the country. Today is the time to see India through Indian eyes and Patanjali Gurukulam is playing an important role in this.
In the programme, the winners of Patanjali Gurukulam in academic, sports and scripture competitions were also awarded. In the program, students of Patanjali Gurukul Jwalapur, Patanjali Kanya Gurukulam Devprayag, Patanjali Gurukulam Haridwar gave cultural programs, dance and theatrical presentations.
