The Indian two-wheeler market has set a new record in September 2025. Darsal, a total of more than 2 million bikes and scooters were sold this month, which is 9% more than the previous year. Two major reasons behind this growth- GST rate reduction (reduced from 28% to 18%) and festive season. As soon as Navratri and festive offers started, people’s purchases gained momentum. At the dealership, the crowd of customers increased and the demand in the computer bike segment doubled. Now customers are able to buy bikes or scooters of their choice at low prices.

Royal Enfield broke its own record

  • September 2025 proved to be a historic month for Royal Enfield. The company’s sales rose 43% to 1,13,000 units, which is the biggest monthly sales ever. CEO B. Govindarajan said that this is the first time Royal Enfield sold more than 1 lakh units in a month. Models like Classic, Bullet and Hunter contributed to this growth.

TVS Motor made strong grip from scooter and EV

  • TVS Motor also showed great performance. In September, the company’s sales rose 12% to 4,13,000 units. Especially the Jupiter scooter and Iqube electric scooter performed well in the market. Apart from this, the company’s exports and EV segment also further strengthened growth.

Bajaj Auto’s stable speed

  • Bajaj Auto sold 2,73,000 units in September, which is 5% higher than last year. Bajaj’s strong grip now appeared not only in India, but also in global markets like Africa and Latin America.

Honda Two-WHEELERS marginal edge

  • Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India (HMSI) sales were 5,05,000 units in September. This is a slight increase of 3% compared to last year. The company’s strongest segment is still scooter market, where Honda Activa remains the first choice of customers. Let us know that the demand for two-wheelers increased considerably during Navratri, but this time the companies gave less discount offers. Usually there is a discount of 5,000 to 10,000, but this time the offers on many models are limited. In addition, sales in rural areas slowed down due to heavy monsoon. Overall, GST cut, festive environment and increasing interest of customers made September 2025 historic for the Indian two-wheeler industry.
