The International Cricket Council has announced the schedule of the 2026 T20 World Cup. Defending champion Team India will play its first match against USA on 7 February. In the same tournament, the match between India and Pakistan will be played in Colombo on 15 February.
The 2026 T20 World Cup will start from 7 February. The final match of the tournament will be played on March 8. Defending champions India will play their first match against USA (USA) in Mumbai on February 7, which will be followed by league matches against Namibia, Pakistan and Netherlands.
The final match of the 2026 T20 World Cup will be played on March 8 at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. If Pakistan team qualifies for the finals then the title match will be held in Colombo, Sri Lanka. Similarly, the semi-final match is to be played in Mumbai, but if Pakistan team goes to the semi-finals then it will play the semi-finals in Colombo.
20 teams will participate, matches will be played at 8 venues
A total of 20 teams will participate in the 2026 T20 World Cup. For the first time, Italy has also qualified for this mega event. ICC President Jay Shah said after the release of the tournament schedule that the matches of the 2026 T20 World Cup will be played at a total of eight venues. The matches of the tournament will be held at five venues in India, while matches will be held at three venues in Sri Lanka. In India, tournament matches will be played in Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, Kolkata and Ahmedabad. Whereas 2026 T20 World Cup matches will be held in Colombo and Kandy in Sri Lanka.
