According to The Economic Times report, traders say that the prices of dry fruits imported from Afghanistan and Iran may increase by 15-20 percent.

Dry fruits are sent from Afghanistan via Iran

Earlier, after the terrorist attack in Pahalgam on 22 April, imports via Pakistan were completely closed. In view of the problem, traders and importers have met with government officials this week and asked to consider clarification on alternative supply sources and import duty structure on Afghan dried fruits to be imported through Iran. Let us know that Afghanistan sends dried fruits from Iran’s Chabahar port to India on a large scale, whereas earlier dry fruits were sent from Afghanistan to India.
