Before the IPL 2026 auction this year, Sanju Samson can make a deal with another team. According to Times of India, Rajasthan Royals and Delhi Capitals are going to finalize the deal regarding Sanju Samson very soon. It is certain that Samson is going to leave the Rajasthan team and Delhi Capitals have shown interest in him. But according to the report, Delhi did not want to trade any of its main players. It is also reported that KKR is trying its best to bring KL Rahul into its squad.
Where will Sanju Samson go?
According to a report published in Times of India, KL Rahul’s name was taken in the Rajasthan-Delhi deal. But Delhi is not ready to release a player who was their top performer last season. But RR management has liked the idea of trading Samson with Tristan Stubbs, but it is also updated that Rajasthan team wants another player along with Stubbs in exchange of trading Sanju Samson. It is being told that the Delhi management has not liked the idea of swapping two players in place of Samson.
In the same report, it was also revealed that Rajasthan Royals had approached Chennai Super Kings management to trade Samson. RR wanted to trade Samson with Ravindra Jadeja.
KKR interested in KL Rahul
Kolkata Knight Riders needs a top order batsman and captain, so the team is trying hard to include KL Rahul. The friendship between the new head coach of KKR and KL Rahul is not hidden from anyone. Even the management is in favor of bringing Rahul, but the question is which player should be sent to another team in his place.
Andre Russell can be an option, but the Delhi team wants to invest its money and time in young players. KKR is unlikely to release star players like Varun Chakraborty and Rinku Singh. At the same time, no one is showing interest in taking Venkatesh Iyer, who performed averagely last season.
