According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, the unemployment rate in America is 4.3% and approximately 74 lakh Americans are unemployed. The labor force is only 62.3%, which shows that growth is slowing down in many sectors. Competition for jobs has increased in some sectors, but there are some sectors where jobs are plentiful and candidates are not facing any difficulty in getting employment.

In August 2025, 31 thousand new jobs have been created in the healthcare sector. This sector has become the biggest area for increasing employment. Most jobs have been created in ambulatory healthcare services, hospitals, nursing and residential care facilities. More than 13 thousand jobs have been created in ambulatory services alone.

In the last one year, about 5 lakh new jobs have been created in the healthcare sector. This is more than one-third of the total new jobs created in the country. This means that the healthcare sector has become the most stable and fastest growing sector of employment in America.

This increase in employment in the healthcare sector shows that people have increased attention towards health services. The need for ambulatory care for patients, nursing staff and other healthcare professionals in hospitals is continuously increasing.

Apart from healthcare, the social assistance sector has also created about 16 thousand new jobs in August. According to the government report, about 3.33 lakh new jobs have been created in this sector in the last one year.

Employment in this sector is mainly in family services, child care, community food and housing assistance, emergency relief and vocational rehab. The growth of these jobs shows that American society is paying attention to the needs of family, social unity and community. People are not only improving their economic condition but are also contributing in helping and caring for the weaker sections of the society.
