This month, the Pakistan Cricket Board increased the salary of women cricketers by 50 percent. On the other hand, the salary of male cricketers included in the central contract list is reported to be cut. Let me tell you that last year, some senior cricketers had demanded from the board that the ICC should be given a share in the amount that the ICC gives to the Pakistan Cricket Board. After a few thoughts, the players were given a 3 percent stake in the revenue received from the ICC, but this will last for only one year.
Now PCB is said to be the reason for the players’ salary cut due to the useless performance of the players in all the formats. On the one hand, there is an update to the salaries of players, while PCB is still giving a salary of Rs 50 lakh per month to Sarfaraz Ahmed, Misbah ul Haq, Vakat Yunus and Sakalain Mushtaq. However, this amount in Indian currency is about 15 lakh rupees.
Last year, PCB appointed 5 mentors for the Champions Cup, but the board withdrew that decision a few months later. One of them was resigned by Mentor, Shoaib Malik, but the remaining four did not do so and are still getting salary.
The Champions Cup has ended in January itself, despite this, the four mentors have been getting monthly income. The board has given him a trunk of 12 crore Pakistani rupees without getting them done without getting any work done. Actually, according to a media report, PCB had signed a contract in which a termination clause was also added. According to this condition, if the board dismisses any of the remaining four mentors, then PCB will have to pay 2 crore Pakistani rupees.
One aspect is that the Pakistan Cricket Board does not want to dismiss Sarfaraz Ahmed and Misbah ul Haq, but it has come from January to August, yet they have not been given any responsibility till now.
