Cricket, football or any other game, there are some players who leave their mark on fans forever. Taking the example of cricket, the career of veterans like Don Bradman, Gary Sobers, Sachin Tendulkar, James Anderson was so historic that people would remember him for decades. 1. James Faulkner
Australian all -rounder James Faulkner could play only 1 Test match, but he left a good impression in a white ball career. He took 132 wickets for Australia by mixing ODI and T20. Who can forget the innings played against India in Mohali when he won the innings of 64 runs in 29 balls in the third ODI match to win Australia by 4 wickets. Faulkner is not seen playing competitive cricket anywhere after PSL 2022.
2. Mohammad Asif
Shoaib Akhtar himself has accepted that Mohammad Asif could have become one of the greatest bowlers of cricket while playing long. Asif had mastered swinging the ball on both sides, had taken 106 wickets in just 44 Test innings. Although Asif’s ban is over, but now it is not visible anywhere.
3. Marvan Atapattu
Marvan Attapatu has been the former captain of Sri Lanka, under his captaincy Sri Lanka won the 2004 Asia Cup. Scored 5502 in 90 Tests and 8529 runs in 268 ODIs. He was last seen playing for Sri Lanka in 2007. As soon as the era of T20 cricket started, Attapattu disappeared somewhere. After retirement, he has appeared very rarely in the media.
4. Demian Martin
Demian Martin also became one of the reasons, due to which India lost the 2003 ODI World Cup final. Martin scored an unbeaten 88 in the final match, helping Australia reach a score of 359. He scored 9,872 runs in his international career, but after 2006 he has been seen getting down on the cricket field very rarely.
5. Nathan McCullum
Nathan McCullum proved to be a match winner for New Zealand as an all -rounder. He took 121 wickets for New Zealand in international cricket, but he has never played competitive cricket after retirement in 2016. At the same time, his brother Brendon McCullum remains in constant discussion and is currently the head coach of the England team.
