
Deep fried foods are also considered very dangerous for heart health. Deep fried foods like pakora, samosa and fried chicken contain trans fat and repeatedly heated oil. These increase LDL, increase inflammation and directly help in plaque formation. Consuming these continuously leads to blockage of arteries quickly.

Processed meat has also been considered dangerous for heart health. Sausage, bacon and salami contain saturated fat, sodium and preservatives. Taking these even in small amounts daily increases cholesterol, hardens the arteries and increases the risk of heart disease.

At the same time, white bread, pastries, sweets and sugary drinks increase blood sugar rapidly, due to which triglycerides increase and fat starts accumulating around the arteries. The risk of diabetes also increases in the long run.

Chips, namkeen, biscuits and baked junk food contain hydrogenated oil. At the same time, all these things also increase LDL and reduce HDL, due to which the blood vessels start narrowing quickly.

Whereas instant noodles, packaged soups, pickles, chips and restaurant foods contain high amounts of sodium. This increases blood pressure and causes damage to artery walls, which accelerates plaque accumulation.

Apart from these, mutton, beef and lamb contain more saturated fat and cholesterol. It increases TMAO which is a compound associated with plaque formation. Experts recommend eating it only occasionally.

At the same time, diet soda can spoil metabolism and increase cravings. Energy drinks increase heart rate and blood pressure, which over time increases extra pressure on the heart.
