New Rules from October 2025: The month of September is about to end and October 2025 is starting from tomorrow. Along with this, many rules are going to be changed, which can directly affect the lives and financial planning of common people. Rules of things like train tickets, UPI, pension scheme, online gaming, LPG and banking are changing. If these changes are not known, then there can be loss. Let’s learn about the rules to be implemented from October.

LPG cylinder prices will increase
From October 1, oil companies will change the prices of LPG and commercial cylinders.

Change in train ticket booking
The new rule will be applicable from October 1 for those traveling by rail. Only 15 minutes before the reservation opens, only those person will be able to book tickets, whose Aadhaar card verification has been done. This rule will now also apply to general reservation. However, the facility for those taking tickets from the railway counter will remain the same.

Changes in payment from UPI
From October 1, you will not be able to ask for money directly from relatives and friends on UPI. According to NPCI, this step has been taken to prevent online fraud and fishing. Apart from this, now you can transact up to 5 lakh rupees from UPI at a time, whereas earlier this limit was 1 lakh rupees. From October 1, UPI auto-pay facility will also be available, which can be used for subscription and bill payment. Notifications will be available on every auto-debit, and it can be closed whenever you want.

Changes in NPS (National Pension System)
The government has changed the rules of NPS from 1 October. The monthly minimum contribution amount has been increased to Rs 1000, earlier it was 500 rupees. Now NPS will have Tier 1 and Tier 2 options. Tier 1 will focus on retirement, while Tier 2 will be a flexible option and will not give tax benefits. Government employees will have to pay Rs 18 for the E-Pran kit on opening a new Pran (Permanent Retirement Account Number).

Changes in online gaming
Under the new rules, all online gaming platforms will have to get a valid license from Meity. The aim of the government is to reduce security, transparency and fraud in the gaming industry. According to the new rules, children under 18 years of age will not be able to participate in online real-mani gaming.

Changes in postal service and speed post
Postal speed post prices will change. The new facilities will include OTP based delivery, real-time tracking, online booking and SMS notifications. On speed post, students will get 10 percent discount and new wholesale customers will get 5 percent discount.
