‘Dhurandhar’ has proved to be a mega blockbuster at the box office. This film has collected Rs 818.35 crore in the domestic market in 43 days of its release. With this, it has become the highest grossing film of Bollywood. The film has earned Rs 1275 crore worldwide.
‘Kis Kisko Pyaar Karoon 2’ beats ‘Dhurandhar’ badly
Amidst the storm of ‘Dhurandhar’, Kapil Sharma’s ‘Kis Kisko Pyaar Karoon 2’ dared to be released and it not only flopped badly at the box office but also proved to be a big loss deal for the makers. ‘Kis Kisko Pyaar Karoon 2’ made Rs 11.50 crore in the first week. Whereas in the second week its earning was only Rs 1.35 crore. With this, its net collection in India was Rs 12.85 crore while the gross collection was Rs 15.15 crore. Let us tell you that the budget of this film is Rs 30 to 35 crores. In such a situation, it could not recover even half its cost.
‘Tu Meri Main Tera Main Tera Tu Meri’ also got washed away in the storm of ‘Dhurandhar’.
Before ‘Dhurandhar’, Karti Aryan and Ananya Pandey starrer ‘Tu Meri Main Tera Main Tera Tu Meri’ also reached the theatres. It was expected from the film that it would perform well but it also proved to be a huge loss film for the makers. Actually, next to ‘Dhurandhar’, the audience did not appreciate ‘Tu Meri Main Tera Main Tera Tu Meri’ and with this it also flopped at the box office. This film has made a worldwide lifetime earning of Rs 49 crore. In which it has earned Rs 39 crore (net earning Rs 32.50 crore) from the domestic market and Rs 10 crore (11 lakh US dollars) worldwide. The makers had to suffer a loss of Rs 100 crore due to the failure of this film.
‘Dhurandhar’ did not even spare ‘Ikkis’
Agastya Nanda and late veteran actor Dharmendra’s film ‘Ikkis’ was released in theaters on January 1, 2026. There was a lot of buzz about ‘Ikkis’, looking at which it seemed that it would perform well at the box office. However, despite a good start, this film also got swept away in the tsunami of ‘Dhurandhar’, in 15 days of its release this film has made a net collection of Rs 30.6 crore in India. Its gross collection is Rs 36.8 crore while it has earned Rs 3.5 crore from overseas.
These new films also failed before ‘Dhurandhar’
Apart from these, Prabhas’s recent release The Raja Saab has also proved to be pale in comparison to the storm of Dhurandhar. The Raja Saab is made on a budget of Rs 300 crores and even after 8 days of release it has not been able to earn even Rs 150 crores. In such a situation, this film has left the makers in poverty. Rahu Ketu and Happy Patel Dangerous Jasoos, released this Friday, also got defeated by the 43-day-old Dhurandhar. While Rahu Ketu earned Rs 1 crore and Happy Patel earned Rs 1.25 crore, even on the 43rd day, Dhurandhar has collected more than these two films at Rs 1.65 crore.
