In view of the election of 25 members of the Bar Council of Delhi on February 21, 22 and 23, special traffic arrangements will be implemented in the VVIP area of the capital. Voting will be held in the Delhi High Court complex from 9 am to 6 pm, due to which traffic will be affected on many major roads. Delhi Traffic Police has issued an advisory appealing to common citizens for cooperation.
The Bar Council of Delhi elections will be held on 21, 22 and 23 February in the Delhi High Court Compound. Voting time is scheduled from 09:00 am to 06:00 pm. During this period, special arrangements have been made regarding security and traffic in the High Court and its surrounding areas.

Shershah Road will remain closed from both sides
During voting, Shershah Road will be closed for general traffic from both India Gate and Mathura Road sides. According to the traffic police, this restriction will remain in force on all three days and only authorized vehicles will be allowed.
Avoid passing through these routes, otherwise you may get stuck in traffic jam.
In view of the traffic pressure, the traffic police has advised to avoid some major routes. These include Tilak Marg, C-Hexagon (India Gate), Zakir Hussain Marg, Shershah Road and Purana Qila Road. There may be a situation of heavy traffic or diversion on these roads.
No parking in and around C-Hexagon, action will be taken on violation
No stopping or parking of any vehicle will be allowed in C-Hexagon and surrounding areas. Vehicles violating the rules will be towed to the traffic pit located near Bhairon Temple. Besides, challan and legal action will also be taken.
Special parking arrangement for lawyers
Special parking arrangements have been made for the advocates participating in the elections. They will be able to park their vehicles at Zoo Parking and Gate No. 5A of the National Stadium. There is an appeal to the common citizens not to use these places unnecessarily.
Make maximum use of bus and metro, plan your journey in advance
The traffic police has appealed to the passengers to avoid the affected routes and make maximum use of public transport if possible. People who are going towards ISBT, Railway Station or Airport should leave home with sufficient time so that they do not face any inconvenience.
