Election rumblings are now becoming visible in Bengal. On Thursday, the Enforcement Directorate i.e. ED raided the office of I-PAC in the alleged coal smuggling case. After the action, West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee was seen against it.
Mamta Banerjee was seen fiercely attacking BJP.
He alleged that BJP is trying to come to power in West Bengal. He did this in Maharashtra and Haryana. He said that I never react. If someone hurts me, I don’t leave them. They are targeting local people in the name of SIR. They harassed old people and pregnant women. These people abuse TMC. TMC workers are very dedicated. Local people are being harassed in the name of SIR. Their documents are being taken. They are not being given receipt. He has gone door-to-door with one BLO in the census process.
‘Never seen a party like BJP before..’
He said that he had never seen a party like BJP before. If you speak in Bengali, you are declared a Bangladeshi. Rohingyas are present in Bengal. Where are Rohingya? If there are Rohingyas, then why SIR was not started in Assam. Most of the Rohingyas come to Myanmar. First they have to pass through Manipur, Nagaland and Assam. All this is being done because they are trying to come to power in Bengal.
Mamta Banerjee said, ‘He steals votes through ECI. This can’t harm me. Banglar Awas Yojana has been closed for the last four years. The money for Mid Day Meal and Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan was stopped. Do you know who is sitting in the Election Commission? The Election Commissioner was the Secretary of the Cooperation Department of the Home Minister. If Gyanesh Kumar is making votes disappear, then why will I remain silent. If voter rights are taken away, I will take away your rights.
‘Our MPs were brutally dragged’
Mamata Banerjee alleged that TMC MPs were brutally dragged. All the agencies were captured. Bengali speaking citizens are being attacked in BJP ruled states. Bengalis are being attacked in Odisha, Madhya Pradesh, UP, Delhi and Rajasthan. Hindi speaking citizens were never attacked here.
In fact, on Friday, many TMC Congress leaders were detained for protesting against the ED raid. ED accused Mamata Banerjee of entering the house of Prateek Jain, director of top political consultancy group I-PAC, during the ongoing search operation in Kolkata and taking important electronic devices along with physical documents.
