Farah Khan was left sweaty in making ‘Gerua’ of ‘Dilwale’
Actually Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol starrer film ‘Dilwale’ could not perform special performance at the box office but the song ‘Gerua’ was a big hit. It would be surprising to know that Farah Khan’s sweat was left in shooting this special song. Actually, Farah had shed crores of rupees like water to make this 4 minutes 57 seconds. This has been revealed by the film maker himself.
In her latest Vlog, filmmaker Farah Khan came to Delhi to meet Entrepreneur Ashnir Grover and his wife Madhuri with her coaloging partner Dilip. During a conversation with the host of Rise and Fall, Farah Khan mentioned her holiday in Iceland. During this, Farah told him that only one Major Hindi Song was shot in Iceland, and that was ‘Gerua’ of ‘Dilwale’. Farah recalled the challenges of shooting in that cold weather, where ordinary acts also became difficult for the actors. Nevertheless, he said that this song became one of the main attractions of the film as it showed a magical on-screen chemistry between Shah Rukh and Kajol.
How many crores were spent by Farah on the shooting of the song ‘Gerua’
Ashnir and Madhuri were most surprised by the revelations of Farah that they told about its price. Farah said, “Iceland is the most expensive place.” And then told that Gerua’s budget was Rs 7 crore, and that too for only one song, shooting with only two artists and crew, the cost of the song touched the cost due to high prices of location. Farah jokingly said, “How expensive Iceland is!”
The Gerua became one of the most popular romantic songs in recent years. But the film ‘Dilwale’ did not run at the box office.
