In the video, Jatin talked about the life of his mother who always remained away from the limelight. During this, he also shared many unheard stories related to his family’s journey.
Captioning the post, Jatin wrote, ‘Prithviraj Kapoor’s only daughter Urmila, when…’, which refreshed both curiosity and nostalgia among the fans of the Kapoor family. In the video, Jatin told that despite being born in one of the most famous families of Hindi cinema, Urmila Kapoor Sial chose to choose a simple and private life, away from the world of fame and films.
Talk about parents’ love story
While talking about the love story of his parents, Jatin told that his mother left the luxurious life of the city and the relationships related to Bollywood and accepted to live in the forests with his father. He told that his father was associated with mining profession and the family lived like a joint family in Nagpur. According to Jatin, his life was very simple and down to earth, which was completely different from the glamor of the Kapoor family.
Jatin’s father was a special friend of Shammi Kapoor.
Jatin also told that his father Charanjit Sial had a very close friendship with veteran actor Shammi Kapoor. This makes it clear that the relations of the Kapoor family were not limited to films only, but there were deep relationships in personal life also. Let us tell you, Urmila Kapoor Sial had four children, out of which only Jatin Sial chose a career in the entertainment industry.

Jatin Prithviraj Kapoor’s film journey
But amidst all this glamour, there was one member of the family who quietly chose his own path, that is Jatin Siyal. Jatin, known as Prithviraj Kapoor, created his own identity especially in the world of television.
Jatin, son of Urmila Sial and nephew of Raj, Shammi and Shashi Kapoor, started his career in the film industry as an assistant director. He worked closely with his uncle Shashi Kapoor in the 1990 fantasy film Ajooba, which featured big stars like Amitabh Bachchan, Rishi Kapoor and Dimple Kapadia.
In the 90s, Jatin turned to acting after working behind the scenes. He appeared in popular TV shows like Tehkeekat, Vansh, Rishtey and Saans and gained recognition for his acting. Later, he made his Bollywood debut as an actor with the film Aa Ab Laut Chalen directed by Rishi Kapoor, in which Aishwarya Rai and Akshaye Khanna were in the lead roles.
