The objective of the Mukhyamantri Vivah Shagun Yojana, being run under the Haryana Government, is that the marriage of any daughter should not be stopped merely due to lack of money. Under this scheme, the government provides financial assistance to needy families, so that they can marry their daughters honorably. Recently, the amount given under this scheme has been increased. Now poor families will get more financial help on the occasion of marriage than before, which will directly benefit thousands of families.
Increase in Shagun amount, now you will get Rs 51 thousand
Haryana Government has increased the amount of assistance given to poor families under Mukhyamantri Vivah Shagun Yojana from Rs 41,000 to Rs 51,000. This amount will be sent directly to the bank account of the beneficiary as Kanyadaan.
This decision will provide relief to those families whose annual income is up to Rs 1.80 lakh. The government believes that with this help the financial burden on families regarding the marriage of daughters will be reduced.
This government is giving 51 thousand rupees on the remarriage of widow sister and daughter.
Under this scheme, the government has taken special care of the weaker sections of the society. The government provides assistance of Rs 51,000 on the remarriage of widowed, divorced, destitute or orphan women. The condition is that the woman should not have availed the benefit of this scheme in her first marriage. Apart from this, widow women are also given assistance of Rs 51,000 on the marriage of their daughters.
Different amount of assistance for different categories
The government has fixed different amounts for different sections in the scheme. It is Rs 71,000 for Scheduled Caste (SC) and Vimukt Caste category, Rs 41,000 for General and Backward Class and Rs 51,000 for widow, destitute, orphan daughters. Special provisions have also been made for the disabled under the Chief Minister Vivah Shagun Yojana. If both the couples getting married are disabled, they will get Rs 51,000 and if only one of the couple is disabled, they will get Rs 41,000. Apart from this, women players are also given the benefit of this scheme. If a female player has participated in Olympic, non-Olympic or recognized tournament, then she is given an assistance of Rs 41,000.
