R Madhavan has been awarded the Padma Shri award on the occasion of this Republic Day. The name of this year’s Padma Awards winner was announced on the night of 25 January, in which the name of R Madhavan is also included. R Madhavan is overjoyed after being awarded the Padma Shri.
He expressed his gratitude to the Government of India and his fans by sharing a post on social media. After being awarded the Padma Shri, R Madhavan gave an emotional reaction. By sharing the post on social media, Madhavan called it the biggest honor of his life and also accepted it humbly.

He wrote in his post, ‘Thank you all very much. I accept the Padma Shri with deep gratitude and humility. This honor is beyond my wildest dreams and I accept it on behalf of my entire family, whose constant support and faith has been my greatest strength.’
Expressing his excitement and happiness, the actor wrote, ‘This recognition has been possible only because of the blessings of my guru, good wishes of well-wishers, love and encouragement of the public, and above all, the grace of God. All of them have made invaluable contributions in shaping my journey and taking me to this point.’
He further wrote in his post, ‘I consider it not just an award but a responsibility. I promise to fulfill this honor with dignity, integrity and deep dedication to the values it represents. My heart is full of gratitude for this extraordinary support and recognition and I will continue to serve with honesty, humility and dedication in the years to come. I am overwhelmed by all your love and messages. Please give me some time to reply to all of you.’ Meanwhile, the actor’s wife Sarita also expressed pride in her husband by sharing a post on social media.
