It was the first State of the Union of his second term, which begins in January 2025. Trump enumerated the achievements of his first 13 months and said that America has seen ‘changes never seen before’. He emphasized on economy, border security, drugs control and international situation.

America’s golden era has begun: Trump
Trump said that our country is back on track. Bigger, better, richer and stronger than ever before. America’s ‘Golden Age’ has started. Trump said, ‘In less than 5 months from now, our country will celebrate a major milestone in American history. Our glory, on the 250th anniversary of American independence. This 4th of July, we will celebrate two and a half centuries of freedom, victory, progress and independence in the most incredible and special country we have ever seen on Earth. We haven’t seen anything yet. We are going to do better. This is the golden age of America.
Trump made a big claim on border security and said that not a single illegal migrant has entered America in the last 9 months. Our border has become completely secure. Also mentioned was a 56% reduction in the arrival of deadly drugs like fentanyl. He said that America is now getting respect in the world like never before, ‘perhaps more than before.’
Biden administration gave worst inflation: Trump
Trump said, ‘The Biden Administration and its allies in Congress gave us the worst inflation in our country’s history, but in 12 months, my Administration has brought core inflation to the lowest level in more than five years. In the last three months of 2025, it decreased to 1.7 percent. Gasoline, which peaked at more than $6 a gallon in some states during my tenure as president. To be honest, it was a problem. Now below $2.30 per gallon in most states and $1.99 per gallon in some places. When I went to the big state of Iowa a few weeks ago, I even saw $1.85 a gallon for gasoline.’
What did Trump say on Iran’s nuclear program?
In foreign policy, Trump took a tough stance on Iran’s nuclear program. He said, ‘I will make peace wherever possible, but will never hesitate when America is in danger.’ America is increasing military presence near Iran. Trump described America as ‘the hottest country in the world’ and said that after five months America will celebrate its 250th independence anniversary, which will be ‘America’s Golden Age’.
