How much more is its salary than that of IAS-IPS?

The starting basic salary of an IAS or IPS officer is around Rs 56,100 per month and after adding allowances, the total salary reaches around Rs 85,000 to Rs 1 lakh. At the same time, even after reaching the highest level of career, an IAS officer (Cabinet Secretary) gets a maximum fixed salary of Rs 2.50 lakh per month. In comparison, the Supreme Court judge gets a salary of around Rs 2.50 lakh and the Chief Justice gets around Rs 2.80 lakh per month, that is, the salary of a Supreme Court judge is almost three times more than the starting salary of IAS-IPS officers.
