Britain’s ruling Labor Party has suspended its MP Dan Noris. According to local media reports, he is suspected of rape, child sexual offense, child kidnapping and misconduct in public position, due to which he has been arrested.
Noris is currently the mayor of the West of England as well as an MP. Suspension means that party whip has also been taken away from North East Summerset and Hanham MP Noris, which will not be able to sit as Labor MP in the House of Commons.
A party spokesperson confirmed his arrest on Saturday night and said, "On receiving information about his arrest to MP Danny Noris, the Labor Party immediately suspended. As long as the police investigation is on, we cannot comment on it any more."
Avon and Summerset Police said that she is investigating several allegations against a 60 -year -old man.
Police said that most of the crimes have taken place in the 2000s, as well as stated that they are also investigating an alleged rape crime in the 2020s.
Avon and Summerset Police said in a statement, "In December 2024, we received a referral related to a recently committed child sexual offense against a girl from another police force."

According to the statement, "On Friday (April 4), a person of 60 years of age was arrested on suspicion of misconduct against a girl (under the Sexual Offenses Act 1956), rape (sex offense Act 2003), child kidnapping and misbehavior in public office."
