For this you will first have to go to the website of your service provider. Here go to the DND section and enter your number. Fill the OTP received on this and block promotional calls and messages. If you are a Jio user then you can do this work through the app also.
How to block through SMS
If you do not want to activate DND through website or app, then SMS is also a way. For this, write START 0 and send message to 1909 from your registered mobile number. Even after this, if you receive any spam or marketing call, then send the message by writing UCC, caller, date/month. Instead of caller, write the number from which you have received the call.
You can also block through phone
If you find it a hassle to block spam calls through website or SMS, then you can do this work by just making phone calls. For this you have to call number 1909. Follow the instructions given on the call and within some time DND will be activated on your number, after which spam calls and messages will stop.
