In today’s time, governments are continuously bringing new schemes to promote the education and empowerment of daughters. The Rajasthan government has taken a very commendable step in this direction. Laado Protsahan Yojana is being run with the aim of making daughters self-reliant, pursuing their education without any hindrance and reducing the financial burden on the family.
Under this scheme, the state government provides total financial assistance of Rs 1.5 lakh to daughters from birth till the age of 21 years. This amount is not sent all at once, but in different phases, directly to the daughter’s bank account. This scheme was started in the year 2024 under the Chief Minister of Rajasthan Bhajan Lal Sharma. Earlier this scheme was known as Mukhyamantri Rajshree Yojana, which was later improved and named as Lado Incentive Scheme.
What is Lado Incentive Scheme?
Laado Protsahan Yojana is a welfare scheme of the Government of Rajasthan, which aims to encourage the birth of daughters and help them continue their education. The benefit of this scheme is available to those girls who are born in a government hospital or a government recognized medical institution. Under this scheme, the government gives a total amount of Rs 1,50,000 in 7 installments at different stages of the daughter’s life.
How to get the amount of Rs 1.5 lakh in installments?
The amount received under Lado Protsahan Yojana is Rs. 5,000 at the time of birth, Rs. 5,000 after completion of 1 year of age and vaccination, Rs. 10,000 on admission in class 1, Rs. 15,000 on admission in class 6, Rs. 20,000 on admission in class 10, Rs. 25,000 on admission in class 12 and on completion of graduation and attaining the age of 21 years. 70,000 is given as follows. In this way, the daughter gets a total financial assistance of Rs 1.5 lakh till she completes her studies, which is transferred directly to her bank account.
Journey from Rajshree Yojana to Lado Protsahan Yojana
In Rajasthan, this scheme was earlier implemented under the name of Mukhyamantri Rajshree Yojana, in which assistance of about Rs 50,000 was given to daughters. In the year 2024, Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma changed the name of the scheme to Lado Incentive Scheme. First the assistance amount was doubled and then on the occasion of Women’s Day it was increased to Rs 1.5 lakh. After this change, this scheme became even more effective and beneficial.
How to apply for Lado Incentive Scheme?
1. The details of a girl child born in a government hospital are automatically entered on the PCTS portal.
2. After this parents will have to go to SSO portal sso.rajasthan.gov.in One has to go and register.
3. After login, the application form of Lado Protsahan Yojana has to be filled.
4. The documents required for the application are the birth certificate of the girl child, Aadhar card of the parents, residence certificate of Rajasthan, bank account information.
5. After the form is submitted, the documents are verified.
6. Once the verification is complete, the first installment is sent directly to the bank account.
