India IPO Market 2025: This year was in the name of Initial Public Offering (IPO) in the Indian stock market. IPOs of many famous companies have come in the market. Due to which investors have got ample opportunity to place bets. Talking about the figures, after the IPOs of Meesho, Equus and Vidya Wires enter the market, the number of IPOs will be the highest in the last 18 years.
Besides, the capital raised through IPO will also cross the figure of Rs 1.6 lakh crore. Due to which a new record will be created.
How was the IPO market last year?
Talking about last year, 94 IPOs were launched in the stock market. Due to which capital of about Rs 1.59 lakh crore was raised. Talking about the year 2025, till now IPOs of 93 firms have come in the market.
Also, IPOs of Meesho, Equus and Vidya Wires are ready to be launched in the coming days. Due to which this figure will become 96. This will be the highest number of initial public issues after 2007.
Understand the mathematics of this year’s IPO from figures
According to a report published in Business Standard, at the beginning of this year there was huge volatility in the secondary market. Whose effect was visible on the primary market also. Not a single IPO came to the stock market in the month of March.
Talking about the month of April, only 1 IPO was launched in it. However, the situation improved from May and after July, more than 10 IPOs started coming in the market every month. More than two dozen companies were listed in September, which is the highest figure for any single month since January 1997.
Meesho’s IPO will open on December 3
The IPO of the country’s e-commerce company Meesho will open on December 3. Investors will be able to bid on the IPO till December 5. December 2nd has been fixed for anchor investors. Meesho has set a target of raising Rs 5,421 crore through its IPO.
The share price band has been fixed by the company between Rs 105-111. The company is bringing fresh shares worth Rs 4,250 crore in the market, while shares worth Rs 1,171 crore have been kept for sale.
