3 Indians went missing from Sangrur, Hoshiarpur and SBS Nagar in Punjab. Confirming this, the Indian Embassy in Iran’s capital Tehran has said that efforts are being made to find the three missing three immediately. The three have been identified as Hushnpreet Singh (Sangrur), Jaspal Singh (SBS Nagar) and Amritpal Singh (Hoshiarpur). All of them went missing soon after reaching Tehran on 1 May.
Family members of these three Indian citizens have informed the Indian embassy that their relatives are missing after visiting Iran. The embassy raised the matter strongly in front of the Iranian officials and appealed that the missing Indians should be traced immediately. Embassy has demanded to ensure the safety of the three Indians.
Indian Embassy released a statement
The Indian Embassy issued a statement saying that they are regularly updating family members about their efforts being made on their behalf. The embassy said that he is giving regular information to his family members of his efforts.

The kidnappers sought a ransom of one crore
In Punjab, an agent promised to send all three to Australia by Dubai-Iran route. He was reportedly assured him that he would be given the facility to stay in Iran, but was kidnapped soon after reaching Iran on 1 May. Families said that the kidnappers had demanded a ransom of Rs 1 crore.
Family is not able to contact since May 11
According to the family, the kidnappers sent a video tied to yellow ropes and dripping blood with hands. He said that the kidnappers had threatened to kill the three for not sending money. The victims used to talk to their family members from the phone of the kidnappers. However, since May 11, the family is not able to contact them. The agent of Hoshiarpur who sent these people abroad is allegedly missing.
