Many times people apply colors to people walking on the road and say ‘Don’t feel bad, it’s Holi’. Merely saying this does not give people a chance to escape. If someone really feels bad about applying color, then it can create problems for the person applying the color.

If someone applies color forcefully even after your clear refusal. If someone catches or tries to hug, it is a direct crime. Under Section 74 of the Indian Judicial Code, physical contact with a woman against her will is punishable. This can result in both jail and fine.
