Then check the transaction history or failed transactions section. Here you will get information about your booking status and money deducted. If the ticket is not booked, a notification of refund process initiated will appear in the system. In such a situation, IRCTC processes the refund within 7-10 days. But sometimes it can be more due to the processing time of the bank.
What to do if refund is not received?
If the ticket has not been booked and the money has not been returned even after the stipulated time. So contact IRCTC customer care. You can lodge a complaint through customer care helpline number or email. IRCTC usually takes action within 48 hours of filing a complaint.

Keep in mind that the refund will be made directly into the same bank account or wallet from which the payment was made. Apart from this, if payment has been made through UPI or Net Banking then it may take some time for updation in the refund account. So you may have to wait a little.
