Diwali Muhurta Trading 2025: Diwali special trading session will be held in the Indian stock market today, which is known as ‘Muhurat Trading’. This trading session will run from 1:45 pm to 2:45 pm on Tuesday, October 21. Generally ‘Muhurat Trading’ is held in the evening. Today, this is happening after many years, when ‘Muhurat Trading’ is being conducted during the day time. With this, Samvat 2082 will begin.
How is business during Muhurat trading?
According to the data, Nifty 50 has gained in 8 out of the last 10 Muhurta trading sessions. During this period it had registered a growth of about 12-15 percent. Whereas twice the closing has happened with a decline. That means, overall, most of the sessions during Muhurat trading have been positive. During Muhurta trading, the market had done its best business in the year 2022, the stock market had made a spectacular gain of 0.87 percent. Whereas the last decline was recorded in 2017. Apart from this, there was a decline of 0.14 percent in 2016 also.

Apart from this, in 2015, 2018, 2019, 2020, 2021, 2022, 2023 and 2025 respectively. Increases of 0.54 percent, 0.65 percent, 0.37 percent, 0.47 percent, 0.49 percent, 0.87 percent, 0.51 percent and 0.40 percent were recorded. From Diwali of 2024 to Diwali of this year, a slight increase was seen in the Indian stock market, in which Nifty 50 index increased by about 5 percent and Sensex increased by about 4 percent. First of all, it will start with a block deal session at 1:15 pm, which will continue till 1:30 pm. Then at 1:30 pm, the pre-open session will start and will continue till 1:45 pm. After this comes the time for which all investors wait and that is the Muhurat trading session which runs from 1:45 pm to 2:45 pm.
After this, the closing session continues from 2:55 pm to 3:05 pm. In this, investors get the last 10 minutes to change the order before the market closes. You will not be able to do business after 2:55 pm. Muhurta trading is considered auspicious. It is believed that investments made during this period bring benefits throughout the year.
