A political fight has broken out in Malegaon over the photo of Tipu Sultan. Controversy arose over the photo of Tipu Sultan installed in the office of Deputy Mayor Shan-e-Hind Nihal Ahmed of Malegaon Municipal Corporation. It is being told that this photo and the video related to it are becoming increasingly viral on social media. After this, Shiv Sena corporators of Shinde faction took cognizance of this matter and reached the Municipal Corporation Commissioner’s office and lodged a protest. Shaan-e-Hind Nihal Ahmed is the leader of Samajwadi Party.
The corporators have demanded immediate removal of the photo and warned that their protest will continue until the photo is removed. It was also said that if necessary, it could take the form of a protest movement.
On the other hand, Deputy Mayor Shan-e-Hind Nihal Ahmed replied that Tipu Sultan was a freedom fighter. He fought against the British, which has also been accepted by many leaders of the country. Besides, Maharashtra Government has also mentioned in the Gazette that he will be celebrating his birth anniversary. He raised the question that who are the protestors and on what basis are they protesting?
