Rules for credit cards changed

According to the new rule implemented with the credit card from June 1, if the auto-debit payment of your credit card fails, then a penalty of up to 2 percent will be imposed. For example, if you have set an auto debit in your mobile and it fails, then the bank will charge you up to 2 percent.

Apart from this, from June 1, international transactions will also be charged. Some banks have indicated to impose extra charges if the utility bills like electricity, water and internet are filled with credit cards. Along with this, rules can also be changed regarding cashback. Not only this, from today, you will have to pay extra charge even after purchasing fuel from credit card.

Money will be expensive to withdraw money from ATM

Withdrawing money from ATM using debit cards from 1 June will also become expensive. Under the new rules, if you do more transactions than the free limit, then your withdrawal charge may increase. That is, repeated cash from ATMs can now be overwhelming on the pocket.

Interest rate on fixed deposit

From June 1, 2025, banks can change their interest rates on FD. At present, banks usually give a return between 6.5 percent to 7.5 percent on FD.
