Today Team India will face Sri Lanka, will Harmanpreet and Company capture the third T20 win series?

The Indian team, full of confidence, will maintain its momentum and go against the out of form Sri Lankan team on Friday with the intention of winning the third T20 match and the five-match series. India has won the first two T20 matches in Visakhapatnam by eight and seven wickets respectively.

This was India’s ninth win in the last 11 T20 matches. Sri Lanka last defeated India in July 2024 in Dambulla.

The host team has a great batting line-up and in the last two matches different players have led the way. While Jemimah Rodrigues won in the first match, Shefali Verma was the architect of victory in the second.

India’s bowling unit is equally strong and the spinners restricted Sri Lanka to 121 for six wickets in the first match and 128 runs for nine wickets in the second. Young N Sricharani, Vaishnavi Sharma and Kranti Gaur have bowled disciplined, controlled and effective.

All-rounder Deepti Sharma could not play the second T20 due to fever but Sneh Rana, who came in her place, took one wicket for 11 runs in four overs.

However, the Indian team will have to work on fielding as five catches were dropped in the first match, although three run outs were made in the second match. The Indian team, captained by Harmanpreet Kaur, would like to improve its performance in the next three matches here.

On the other hand, Sri Lanka hopes that the change of venue will also change its fortunes, although there is a huge difference in the performance of both the teams. Sri Lanka was disappointed by its batsmen in both the matches. In the first match, Vishmi Gunaratne scored 39 runs in 43 balls while Hasini Perera and Harshita Samarawickrama could not play aggressive innings.

In the second match, after the dismissal of Chamri Atapattu, Sri Lanka lost six wickets within 26 runs.
