Tomorrow the fourth season of the SA20 league is going to be auctioned. In the auction to be held on 9 September, star players like Aidan Markram, James Anderson and Dewald Bravis will be bid. A total of 549 players will be bid in the auction, but only 84 are vacant. Of these, 59 slots are reserved for South African players, while the remaining 25 slots will be for foreign players.

The teams will also have a condition that they will have to buy at least 2 players whose age is less than 23 years. Pretoria Capitals have the most money left. Will Indian players be in the SA20 auction?

13 Indian players had registered their names for the SA20 auction. But when the final list of the auction came out, there was not a single Indian player in it. Piyush Chawla, Siddartha Kaul, Ankit Rajput, Sarul Kanwar, Anurit Singh, Ansari Maroof, Mahesh Ahir, Nikhil Jaga, Mohammad Faid, KS Naveen, Imran Khan, Venkatesh Galipley and Atul Yadav were registered, but no franchise was shortlisted by any franchise.

Not a single Indian player will be named in the auction. Explaining the reason for this, SA20 League Commissioner Graeme Smith had told that it is the work of a franchise to shortlist the players. They only shortlisted those players in which they are interested.

Who will put CSK or Mi the biggest bid

A total of 6 teams play in the SA20 league, all those teams are owned by the IPL franchise. Just as Pretoria Capitals, DC is the franchisee team, Mi Cape Town (Mumbai Indians), Sunrisers Eastern Cape (SRH), Parl Royals (RR), Durban Super Giants (LSG) and Jongs Super Kings are owned by CSK Franchisee.

Durban Super Giants have Rs 14.79 crore left in the auction. Joeburg Super Kings have Rs 10.78 crore, Pretoria Capitals have Rs 16.30 crore and Sunrisers Eastern Cape has Rs 10.78 crore left. Parl Royals have Rs 7.27 crore and Mi Cape Town’s purse has Rs 5.76 crore left.
