In the year 2025, a total of 4 international matches took place between India and Pakistan, out of which one was held in the Champions Trophy and 3 in the Asia Cup. In the Asia Cup, Abhishek scored 110 runs in 3 matches against Pakistan. In the Super-4 match, he played a brilliant inning of 74 runs and also had an argument with Pakistani players. Perhaps this could be the reason why he became the most searched athlete in Pakistan. Hasan Nawaz is second in the list.

Vaibhav Suryavanshi’s magic seen in India
Abhishek remained on top in Pakistan but Vaibhav Suryavanshi remained at number-1 in terms of most Google searches in India. Abhishek was ranked third in India, Priyansh Arya was at second position. Priyansh, who played for Punjab Kings, was also dominant in the IPL, he played a brilliant inning of 103 runs in 42 balls against CSK.
Shaik Rashid was at number four in the list, followed by Indian female cricketer Jemimah Rodriguez at number five. Jemima played a match-winning inning of 127 runs against Australia in the semi-finals of the Women’s ODI World Cup 2025, which was highly praised across the country.

Google also shared the list of sports teams in top trending global searches, in which PSG remained on top. IPL teams Punjab Kings and Delhi Capitals were at fourth and fifth position. Both the teams have not been able to win the IPL title yet, but this year Punjab performed brilliantly and reached the finals.
