In India, Toyota Land Cruiser is known as a luxury and powerful SUV, but due to its high price, it does not fit in everyone’s budget. Now according to media reports, Toyota is preparing to launch its new Toyota Land Cruiser FJ in India. This model can be more economical than the existing Land Cruiser, which will fulfill the dream of more customers.

Seen during testing

Testing of Toyota Land Cruiser FJ has started before its launch. Recently it was seen during testing in Bangkok. Although its testing is being done outside India, but according to reports it is being prepared keeping the Indian market in mind. The SUV was completely covered, yet many of its design elements could be glimpsed.

Glimpse of design and features

C-shaped LED DRLs, LED headlights and LED fog lamps are seen in the spotted unit. Apart from this, features like traditional door handle, strong body cladding, roof rail, high-mount stop lamp, rear wiper and washer were also seen. In terms of design, this SUV looks strong and ready for off-roading. It is expected that modern connected features and advanced safety technology can also be provided in it.

Powerful engine and 4WD option

According to reports, 2.7 liter naturally aspirated petrol engine can be given in Toyota Land Cruiser FJ. This engine can generate power of about 163 PS and torque of 246 Newton meters. With this, the option of six-speed transmission can be available. 4WD system can also be provided in the SUV, due to which it can prove to be a great option for off-roading enthusiasts.

When will it be launched in India?

Toyota has not yet officially announced the launch date of this SUV in India. However, it is expected that it can be introduced in the Indian market by 2027. If this SUV comes at an affordable price, then this SUV can become a new option in the Indian market.
