Two bogies of Muzaffarpur-Sabar Jansadharan Express (15269) derailed near Bhaupur Yard of Kanpur in Prayagraj division. According to railway officials, on Friday (1 August 2025), the sixth and seventh box derailed from the engine at 16.20 pm. No casualties have been reported in this accident.
Railway officials of Kanpur have reached the spot. General Manager and Divisional Railway Manager has left for the spot. At present, repair work is going on at the scene. Railway medical van has been sent on the spot.

Committee formed to investigate the accident
The bogies of the train were derailed were general. When the bogies of the train started getting crooked, the passengers started jumping from it. After the train stopped, women and children were safely taken out. A committee has been formed to investigate this accident. The train was going from Muzaffarpur in Bihar to Ahmedabad. Due to this train accident, trains coming from behind have been stopped.
In Mirzapur, Uttar Pradesh, three wagons of the goods train derailed in the last month. The 118 wagon goods train going from Bhatinda to Chopan was entering the yard of Chunar Junction. Then three of his wagons derailed. The accident took place near Chunar railway station and railway crossing.
