Fastag Annual Pass: There is an important news for the people who frequently travel on the National Highway. If you make an annual FASTag toll pass to avoid toll, now you will have to pay more money for it than before. The government has increased the fees for the annual toll pass. This means that from April 1, travel on the highway is going to be a little expensive.

People who regularly pass through the highway. This may affect their expenses. This new fee will come into effect with the beginning of the new financial year 2026-27. Annual pass price will increase from April 1

The National Highway Authority of India, the organization that manages the toll system of the National Highway, has slightly increased the fees for the annual toll pass. Earlier this pass was available for Rs 3000. But now you will have to pay Rs 3075 for this.

According to the new system:

  • The new price will be applicable from April 1, 2026.
  • Earlier the annual pass was available for Rs 3000.
  • Now you will have to pay Rs 3075 for this.
  • This pass is for private i.e. non-commercial vehicles.
  • It is necessary to have a valid FASTag in the vehicle.

The government says that the rates related to toll are reviewed from time to time and changes are made on that basis.

Valid for one year or till 200 toll crossings

The validity of the annual FASTag toll pass is also as per the prescribed rules. This does not mean that toll can be crossed without any limit throughout the year.

The rules work like this:

  • The pass remains valid for a maximum of one year.
  • Or it is valid till 200 toll crossings.
  • Whichever condition is fulfilled first, the pass will expire there itself.

For example, if a driver crosses the toll 200 times before the completion of one year, then the validity of the pass will end there itself. After this a new pass will have to be made.

Important instructions given to toll plaza

The National Highway Authority of India has already issued instructions to all toll plazas and concerned authorities regarding implementation of the new rate.

These instructions state:

  • Passes should be issued as per the new rate from April 1, 2026.
  • Passengers should be informed about the new fees at the toll plaza.
  • The new price should be updated in the system.

The government says that the fees are reviewed every year to keep the toll system organized and to balance the costs. Under the same process, this time the price of annual FASTag toll pass has been slightly increased.
