RCB Stampede Case: 11 people were killed in the Bengaluru stampede case. An FIR was lodged against the Royal Challengers Bangalore team, but recently the RCB team knocked on the Karnataka High Court, in which Royal Challengers Sports Limited, a company owned by Bangalore franchise, filed a petition that the FIR should be canceled against him. Now the High Court has postponed the hearing on this petition till Wednesday.
Justice SR Krishna Kumar has also postponed the hearing on the plea of Royal Challengers Sports Limited as well as DNA Entertainment Networks Private Limited. The court did this because the state government (Karnataka) could get time to register an objection to the petitions.
The High Court highlighted an agreement between the state government and the lawyers of both companies (RCB and DNA) that Karnataka Police could not arrest Royal Challengers Sports Limited and any officer of DNA Network Limited Company by the coming Wednesday. At the same time, till Wednesday, officials of both companies cannot leave the country and go out.
RCB officer arrested
In this case, RCB’s marketing head Nikhil Sosale and Sunil Matthew, Vice-President of DNA network, were arrested on 6 June. The Karnataka High Court has postponed the hearing on the bell petition of both of them till Tuesday. Please tell that Nikhil and Sunil were arrested after the FIR lodged at Kabban Park police station on 3 June.
The name of the DNA Network Company is related to this case, as the RCB team was to have a Victory Celebration at M Chinnaswamy Stadium. This event was organized by this company. At the same time, the police say that without permission from the Bengaluru police, the invitation was sent to the fans for the Victory Parade on social media.
