According to the White House, India imposes 52 percent tariffs on America. However, cars and auto parts made abroad have been excluded from the purview of Trump’s reciperook tariff, which already have 25 percent tariff. Apart from this, copper, pharmaceuticals, semiconductors, minerals and many energy products are also discount.
However, experts believe that this is in India’s interest as tariffs on India are less than many other Asian countries. It has the biggest impact on countries like Laos, Madagascar, Cambodia Lesotho. America imposed more tariffs on two neighboring countries of India than India. US President Trump has imposed 34 percent on China and 30 percent on Pakistan. 37 percent tariff has been imposed on Bangladesh. Trump has imposed a counter 4 percent counter on Myanmar, who is struggling with a terrible tragedy due to the earthquake.
