Trump sent letters to seven countries

The Philippines is the largest trading partner in America among the seven countries who have been sent letters at new tariff rates on Wednesday. Last year, $ 14.1 billion goods were sent to the US from here. However, this figure is lower than other trading partners of America like China and European Union. Let us know that on Wednesday, the tariff rates on many countries on the countries that Trump have imposed tariffs are similar to the tariff imposed on the occasion of ‘Liberation Day’ in April. However, some changes have been made.

These countries get relief

Trump has increased the tariff rate for the Philippines from 17 percent to 20 percent, while the tariff on Moldova has reduced the tariff from 31 percent to 25 percent, 39 percent on Iraq to 30 percent, the tariff on Sri Lankan exports has reduced the tariff to 30 percent. Apart from this, Trump has put 30 percent on Algeria, 25 percent on Brunei and 30 percent on Libya. Earlier, Trump also announced to impose 25 percent tariffs on Japan and South Korea on Monday.

A letter means a deal

In the cabinet meeting on Tuesday, Trump had said that the letter sent on his behalf about the tariff is in exchange for negotiations on compromises from many countries. Trump said, “I just want to tell you that a letter means a deal. We cannot meet with 200 countries … You have to do it in a more common way. ”

The process of sending letters at the new tariff rate began when Trump signed an executive order on Monday, with an officially postponed date on the date of applying reciperook tariff with 10 to 50 percent tariffs on exports of about 60 business partners.

Trump had announced to put a recipe for some time from 9 April, after which the President suspended it till 9 July and then Monday’s order extended its deadline till 1 August.
