America has banned Russia’s Rosneft and Lukoil companies. The important thing is that India buys oil from both these companies. Now the impact of this ban may increase on India also. According to Reuters report, Trump said, “Every time I talk to Vladimir Putin, the conversation is good, but it does not move forward.”

Why will the ban affect India?
India has imported about 1.73 million barrels of Russian crude oil daily between January and July this year. This accounts for one-third of India’s total oil imports, whereas earlier India used to import less oil from Russia. India has so far kept its stand clear on the matter of buying oil from Russia. He has said that he takes decisions keeping in mind the interests of his people. However, now the ban on the Russian company may affect India also.
