US President Donald Trump is leaving for Israel and Egypt on Sunday (October 12, 2025), where he will celebrate the US-brokered Israel-Hamas ceasefire and hostage agreement. Along with this, Trump will call upon his Middle East allies to take advantage of this opportunity to establish permanent peace in this troubled region.

Israel and Hamas are currently in the initial process of implementing the first phase of the Trump agreement, so this is a delicate time. The purpose of this agreement is to permanently end the war that started with the attack on Israel by Hamas-backed terrorists on October 7, 2023.

There is an opportunity to improve relations between Israel and its neighboring Arab countries – Trump

US President Trump believes that this is a limited but extremely important opportunity to reshape the Middle East and improve long-strained relations between Israel and its Arab neighbors. Trump said this historic moment was made possible by his government’s strong support for weakening Iran-backed proxy groups such as Hamas in Gaza and Hezbollah in Lebanon.

Gaza will be rebuilt – Trump

US President Donald Trump said on Friday (October 10, 2025), ‘I think you are going to see a huge success and Gaza will be rebuilt. As you know there are some very rich countries. Even a very small part of their money would be enough for this work and I think they also want to do it.

Trump will go to Israel first

During his visit to two countries, US President Donald Trump will first visit Israel, where he has been invited to address the Israeli Parliament ‘Knesset’. Trump will then head to Egypt, where he and Egyptian President Abdel Fatah al-Sisi will lead a summit in Sharm el-Sheikh with leaders of more than 20 countries to discuss Gaza peace.
