Turkey-pakistan relations: Pakistan’s firm friend Turki’s President Rechpe Tayyip Erdogan has once again shown love for Pakistan. Erdogan has expressed the hope of resolving the water dispute, welcoming the ceasefire between India and Pakistan. He has also reiterated to support Pakistan. He wrote in a tweet that I am happy that the tension between Pakistan and India ended with a ceasefire. I hope that this atmosphere of peace will be helpful in resolving other problems, especially water disputes. Erdogan’s statement came at a time when India suspended the Indus Water Treaty after the Pahalgam attack in Kashmir. Under this treaty, Pakistan gets the water of three major rivers – Jhelum, Chenab and Indus – from India. There has been a new debate about this historic treaty.
