World’s first multipurpose sea-scale uav
Talay developed by Turki Solid Aero company is considered to be the world’s first Sea-Skimming Multipurpaose Unmanned Aerial Vehicle. It can fly above the sea at a height of just 30 centimeters and uses the Wing-in-Ground (WIG) effect, which gives it more lift and efficiency in the air. Due to flying at such a low altitude, it is almost invisible with traditional naval radar.
Technical features and designs
The size of the talay drone is compact. Its length is 9.19 feet and Wingspan is 9.84 feet. It can fly from 30 cm to 100 meters in height and take a payload of up to 30 kg (66 pounds). Advanced sensors, small anti-ship weapons or monitoring equipment can be installed in it. It runs perfectly by electric engine and Li-PO battery, which has a flight period 3 hours and 200 km. Its foldable wings help to deploy it quickly.
Master of secret missions
The most special thing about Talay is its stealth design and ability to avoid radar. It can be used for many operations like Normal Attack, Top Attack and Harbor Attack. Its AI-powered flight control system is able to carry out accurate and fast attack, whether day or night.
The Turki Talay is not just a drone, but the beginning of a new military category which can prove to be a game-changer in naval operations. Its technology has proved that in the modern battlefield, now not only America, Russia and China, but also countries like Turkas can take lead.
