The Indian team made a great start in the Under-19 World Cup 2026, the team captained by Ayush Mhatre defeated USA by 6 wickets in the first match. Henil Patel showed effective play with the ball, he took 5 wickets. Vaibhav Suryavanshi’s bat did not work today, he returned to the pavilion after scoring only 2 runs. While chasing the target, Abhigyan Abhishek Kundu played an unbeaten inning of 42 runs.

Team India’s third wicket in the form of captain Ayush Mhatre fell at the score of 25, he could score only 19 runs. After this, there was a partnership of 45 runs between Vihaan Malhotra and Abhigyan Abhishek Kundu, Vihaan was out after scoring 18 runs in 17 balls. Abhigyan scored unbeaten 42 runs in 41 balls with the help of 5 fours and 1 six. India achieved the target in the 18th over and won by 6 wickets.

Batting first, the USA team was bundled out for 107 runs. Henil Patel took maximum 5 wickets for India. He gave only 16 runs in his spell of 7 overs. Henil was chosen the best player of the match. Apart from him, Deepesh Devendran, Ambrish, Khilan Patel and Vaibhav Suryavanshi took 1 wicket each.
