Big news has come for the students studying in UAE. The government has declared spring break holidays for school and university students ahead of schedule. This decision has been taken in view of the situation in the country so that students can get an opportunity to study in a safe environment. The government has clearly said that it is important to continue education, but the safety of students and teachers is the first priority.
In fact, after the joint attack on Iran by America and Israel, many other Gulf countries including UAE are also suffering losses in this war. Iran has attacked American bases in these countries. The Ministry of Education and Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research of the United Arab Emirates has announced spring break in all schools and universities of the country from Monday 9 March to Sunday 22 March. During this period, along with students, academic and administrative staff will also get leave. After the holidays, schools and universities will reopen from Monday 23 March and regular classes will start.
The decision will be applicable to all schools and universities
It has been told by the government that this decision will be applicable for the entire country. This means that this holiday will be applicable to both government and private schools as well as all universities and colleges. The government says that this decision will provide some relief to students and teachers and they will be able to continue their studies in a safe environment.

What were the dates of the holidays earlier?
Earlier, according to the education calendar, spring break was fixed between March 16 and March 29, 2026. The plan at that time was that the last class of the students would be on March 13 and after that the holidays would start. But considering the recent situation, the government decided to change the dates of holidays and postponed the break by a week.
Online studies will continue
Earlier, keeping in mind the safety of the students, the government had also decided to conduct online studies for a few days. The Education Ministry had announced that studies will continue through online medium till March 6 in the entire country. During this period, all classes will run through remote medium and students will also be assessed on the same basis.
What should students and parents do?
The government has appealed to students and parents to pay attention to the official information received from schools and universities. When classes resume after the holidays, students will have to reach schools and colleges on time. Also, during the holidays, students have been advised to concentrate on their studies so that they do not face any kind of problem when new classes start.
